What to Expect
Visiting a church for the first time can be nerve-racking, so having an idea of what goes on helps!
Relational. You will be greeted as you enter the doors with friendly faces. The "Well Cafe'" is open one hour before service and provides a great place to hang with friends, meet new friends, and enjoy a delicious pastry or other breakfast items. You will quickly discover that the people of LWC are friendly and down-to-earth.
Worship. Our worship is contemporary in sound and somewhat loud. The praise band gives it all they've got to lead us to worship Jesus. During the worship time, we will recognize our first time guests with a gift and applause. We make use of technology; therefore, we use video, drama, skits, lighting, and any way we can share the message of Jesus. Some have said the worship is like attending a worship concert!
Preaching. We preach Jesus. We preach the Bible. Though you might hear about how to be a great parent, or how to have a wonderful marriage, or how to enjoy your job, that is not our primary focus. We believe that without Jesus--nothing matters. To know the God who made you and loves you is the great need in our lives. Jesus is the One who brings fulfillment. We often preach through books of the Bible to see how Jesus is the focus of all. There are also sermon series that focus on certain topics. Every time we preach, however, we will use God's word to point us to life!
LWC Kids. Our children learn that Jesus is the Hero and He wants to be their God forever! Nursery is available from crawlers to age 2. Ten minutes before service time you can check your child into nursery. The nursery check-in station is near "The Well Cafe'" where you will be greeted and given information. LWC Kids Church is for ages 3-5th grade. Pastor Grant, before the morning message, will call the children to the front and have prayer with them. Their teachers will then escort them to their rooms. You may pick your child up at their classroom after service. (Children do not have to go to Kid's Church. They will have a great time, but we understand that sometimes kids like to stay with their parents.)
