LWC New Members Class

Every child learns to walk by taking that first step. These four step classes will be a life transformation experience. Classes will begin at 3:00 and end at 5:30. There will be a delicious meal prepared for you at 5:30 so you can enjoy great food and wonderful fellowship with other people in the class, some of our members, and the pastoral staff.

Thank you for your interest in discovering how to become a member of Living Water Church. The church is a gift of God that is a blessing to you and the world. There are two church families that you need to be a part of. The first church family is one that you do not choose. Through the grace and mercy of God we are born into his family through faith in Jesus. At the moment of conversion you are birthed into the family of God--and a member of the invisible church family. Every believer in Jesus is a part of the family of God that surpasses all denominations and will remain for all eternity. The second church family you need to be a part of is the local church body. This is the church family that you choose. The Lord graces us with a body of believers where we can grow in our faithfulness to live out the gospel so the world can hear the good news of Jesus. A church family allows you to be a part of a community of believers that will make a greater impact for the Kingdom of God than what you could ever do alone. The visible church is a place where you will belong, serve, worship, pray, learn, give, and invite others to join you on a journey of following Jesus.
We value church membership and think that it should be taken seriously by every believer. Our desire, once you are a Christian, is that you are an active member of a local church body. Our New member classes are designed to help you discover if LWC is the visible church family for you. The following will give you a summary of how each class is designed.
Step 1/Class 101: "This is Living Water-Joining the Team"
This class will help you understand how to know God in a personal way. The most important team to join is His team, not our church. We stress that knowing Jesus is THE most important priority of a persons life. The second team you join is a local body of believers-the church. This class will share with you how Living Water was started, the vision, mission, beliefs, and how our church is structured.
Step 2/Class 201 “The Basics-Developing as a Player”
Learn the Basic habits of being a true disciple to grow in your faith! This class will instruct you how to deepen your walk with Jesus. You can walk in a gym and never get in shape. The truth is that you can walk in a church and never get spiritually fit. This class will equip you with some spiritual exercises that will allow you to walk in the freedom and joy of the Lord! (must complete class 101 prior to this class)
Step 3/Class 301 “Finding My Position-becoming a team player”
Now that you know Jesus, and are growing in Jesus--It is time to start serving Jesus! You mean I can' just sit and do nothing? Absolutely not! You have been given gifts and talents to help the cause of Christ. This class will help you discover your SHAPE to serve Jesus so you might bring glory to God and good to others! (must complete class 101 & 201 prior to this class)
Step 4/Class 401 “Inviting Others to Play-becoming a playmaker in God’s kingdom”
The final class to becoming a “grand slam disciple!” It's wonderful that your saved and going to heaven. . . right? What about your friend? Your Neighbor? The person you work with? This class will teach you how to share your faith and have a heart and mind for missions locally and globally. (must complete class 101 & 201 & 301 prior to this class)
