AHA by Kyle Idleman
Kyle Idleman pastors a huge church in Louisville and writes a darn good book! You may be familiar with others we have "in stock", Gods At War and Not A Fan. With each one I read, I seem to think "that's his best one yet," but if you put all three of these in a sack and shake em' up...pour one out...I'm sure you'll enjoy your choice. Of course, you will want then to read his others, but hey....that's a good thing.
Idleman writes so anyone can read his "stuff," sort of like Max Lucado, if you are familiar with his writing (we have a bunch of his books!). No fifty dollar words to impress us with his deep theological capabilities--just the realities we face in today's crazy goofed-up world. His main topic is one of my favorite topics....ME! (or YOU!) He writes of normal people with normal problems like over indulgence of (you name it), bills, sin. Then come the "Aha Moment" when the brutal realization kicks in that says, "WOW! I gotta problem here!" Oh, by the way, he then points out our other problem...procrastination. "Aaahhhh, it's not that bad, I'll get to that one of these days...maybe when I have more time. That's right, never do today what can be done tomorrow."
I highly recommend all three of his books, and they can be read in any order. Not a series but very serious.
