 Every adult has been invited to a wedding at some point in his or her life. You received the invitation and some had to R.S.V.P. The bride and groom wanted to know who they could count on to be at the reception. This parable explains the kingdom of God in this fashion. The invitation to the kingdom of God has been given and there is an R.S.V.P. Will you respond yes?
